Michigan CCW Class Details:

Responsibilities of handgun ownership.

Safe storage, use, and handling of a pistol including, but not limited to handling to protect child safety.

Fundamentals of pistol shooting

Firearms and the law, including civil liability issues.

Avoiding criminal attack and controlling a violent confrontation.

Laws that apply to carrying a concealed pistol in the State of Michigan.
-
Criminal and civil responsibilities associated with carrying a concealed pistol.

At least 5 hours of classroom instruction and 3 hours of range instruction/time
Class start time is 10:00 a.m. SHARP on day of class.
Class is held at our store - Detroit Arms, LLC. 31733 23 Mile Road, Chesterfield, MI 48047 - we're located on the north side of 23 Mile Road, just west of Sass - about 1 1/2 miles east of I-94.
The indoor range shooting portion of our class takes place on Monday evenings beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Peters Indoor Range on 12 Mile & Gratiot. Directions will be provided the day of class.
You do not need to own a firearm to take this course!! If you do not have a firearm, one will be provided for you to use at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
You may bring your own ammo to class if you have it - it will subject to approval by the range. Otherwise, you will be required to purchase ONE box of ammo at the range ~ as 50 rounds will be required for the completion of our course.
Note: Instructor is NRA certified and legal portion of class is provided by an MCOLES law enforcement instructor. Class taught is the NRA Personal Protection in the Home Course. All NRA course materials are provided as well as a Michigan Concealed Pistol Permit Application Kit. This class satisifes the requirements for obtaining the Michigan Concealed Pistol Permit.
You must pre-register and pre-pay in order to attend. Class fees are non-refundable. You may reschedule to a future class if unable to attend.
